This is a great book I remember back when I was pregnant with my first child and like most first time moms I immediately went out and purchased a copy of What to Expect When You re Expecting Well I hated that book It did not serve me on many levels and because of the lifestyle I wanted to lead I felt left out and had to largely figure things out for myself I would have LOVED to have a book like this that served as a guide with the kind of nutritional holistic and lifestyle information that I wanted and needed at the timeI would definitely recommend this to any and all pregnant or soon to be pregnant mamas out there I know the cover is cute and you might think this is just a book on maternity fashion but its not There is some hard core awesome information in here that covers everything from pre conception to postpartum Every aspect of the growing mama is discussed from what to eat to how to exercise to what to expect to how to spiritually and emotionally deal with what is happening and how to address other relationships in your life This book is the whole packageFrom now on when friends ask for pregnancy book recommendations I will heartily recommend this book along with Sayward Rebhal s Vegan Pregnancy Survival Guide Birthing from Within The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding and anything by Ina May Gaskin

    Admittedly could not finish this one and was happy I got it from the library Maybe because I'm a second time mom but at first I liked her writing style and as I read through the first few chapters I felt like I hated her attitude I had a really difficult pregnancy with my daughter and I didn't feel like I could just be positive and think well through my gestational hypertension diagnosis or the UTIs I had or
