T door dragging her out and beating her for resisting Surprised by the gunman leaning over her in the night weakened by injuries and desperation Edie struggles to her feet and follows Garn to townSo begins a partnership between a man breaking the rules he lives by and a woman determined to get back a decent life any way she c I always love Ms O Connell s writing Her heroines are strong without being bratty or selfish and her heroes are the perfect mixture of tough and tender She always has a good plot that makes sense and her westerns are true to life Obviously I loved this book since I rated it five stars but if I had a complaint it would be to say that I would have liked to see relationship development The hero and heroine were perfect for each other but the reader didn t really get to see them fall in love Since the novel was short there was plenty of room for a few relationship building scenes Maybe they ll come with a later version since as of now this title is only available to people who have signed up for her mailing list I hope so because Ellen O Connell is one author that I love to reread
